For search funds & independent sponsors
Credibility with brokers, from day one.
A funded searcher and an independent sponsor have the same two problems: coverage beyond the listing sites, and getting an intermediary to take the call. OmniSource solves both — a documented mandate run across all three channels, and an approach that comes from a firm brokers already deal with.
- A written mandate that makes you legible to an intermediary in one sentence rather than three calls.
- Off-Market origination alongside listed flow, so the search is not limited to what is already public.
- Our team makes the approach and keeps it moving, then hands you the thread.
- One pipeline you can show an investor group without rebuilding it in a spreadsheet first.

What you use
A mandate, then a pipeline
The two things a solo searcher or a two-person sponsor team does not have time to build: a criteria record an intermediary respects, and a pipeline that survives the first hundred conversations.
The mandate a broker can act on
Sector, geography, revenue and EBITDA floors, ownership profile and structure — written once, in the language an intermediary reads all day. It is the difference between being a name in an inbox and being a buyer with a thesis. It also keeps your own search honest when a tempting deal is three sectors away from the plan.
Mandate
Industrial and essential services — add-on program
- Sectors
- Specialty contracting, industrial services, facilities services
- Geography
- Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Texas
- Revenue floor

- Ownership
- Founder or family owned
- Structure
- Control, add-on to platform
Keywords
A pipeline that does not live in your head
Every approved target on one board, with In Limbo for the ones under someone else's LOI and a recheck date rather than a lost thread. A search that runs eighteen months needs a record; this is one you can open in front of your investor group without a weekend of preparation.

And the file before the founder meeting
Financial summary, implied multiple, the scorecard and the watch items. For every deal we pull what is available from public and private sources and add our own research and conversations, so you can decide quickly whether it is worth an offer. The company and intermediary stay masked until an NDA is executed, and when you get to the owner call you are the buyer who did the work.

Questions
What searchers and sponsors ask first
- Is this for anyone searching, or only funded buyers?
- Funded buyers. An origination engagement is the wrong spend before capital is committed, and we say so on the call rather than after an engagement. If capital is not yet committed, the honest answer is to keep searching self-directed until it is.
- Why would a broker take our call through you and not directly?
- Because the approach comes from a firm they already transact with, with a written mandate attached. That is brand leverage, and it is one of the four things OmniSource is for. It does not replace your own relationships; it gets the first reply faster.
- Do you only look at listed deals?
- No. Coverage runs across Off-Market, Pre-Market and On-Market. For a search, the off-market channel is usually the one that produces a deal nobody else is bidding on, and the on-market channel is where speed to insight and credibility decide who gets the first foothold.
- What does an independent sponsor get that a search fund does not?
- The same pipeline, run against more than one thesis if you have them. Each mandate is a separate record with its own queue and board, which matters when you are showing different theses to different capital partners.
- Who runs the first conversation?
- Our team, on our own behalf. Your mandate is never disclosed and your name is not used in a first approach. The moment a deal is live, the thread and the insight are handed to you — you are the buyer in the conversation, not a name we are shopping.
Posture
What we do, and what we do not
- Deals are anonymized teasers until an NDA is executed. Company and intermediary identities stay masked before that point.
- Your mandate is never disclosed. Nobody outside your team and ours sees what you are looking for, and no other client sees it at all.
- BizNexus does not represent sellers, negotiate, structure transactions, or hold funds, and does not appear on engagement letters, NDAs, LOIs or closing documents.
- What we do is identify opportunities, assess them against your mandate, qualify them and run the outreach — and hand you the deal with the insight already assembled.
Who this is not for
Three readers we send elsewhere
- Unfunded searchers. An origination team is the wrong spend before capital is committed.
- Owners looking to sell. You want an intermediary, not a buy-side pipeline. Start on biznexus.com.
- Advisors and intermediaries. You are the other side of this. The BizNexus Marketplace is where your deals meet mandate-matched buyers. See the Marketplace.

Bring the search thesis.
Twenty minutes. Bring the sector, the geography and the size band, plus what you have already looked at, and we will walk it against live coverage across all three stages.
