OmniSource

For corporate development

An add-on pipeline without the headcount.

Most corporate development teams running an add-on program are two or three people with a day job. The constraint is not judgment, it is hours — nobody has time to identify the companies worth knowing about, assess each one against the thesis and run the outreach. That is the part OmniSource does.

  • A documented mandate per program, so sourcing does not restart every time the thesis moves.
  • Targets arrive matched and verified; your recurring workload is one queue, once a day.
  • Our team runs the outreach and the first conversations, including the owner calls.
  • Your operators and your deal lead see the same board, without a status meeting to maintain it.

What your team uses

Two screens, ten minutes a day

A small team cannot afford a tool that needs staffing. These two screens are the whole of the recurring commitment.

The mandate, written down once

Sectors, geography, revenue and EBITDA floors, ownership profile, structure and the exclusions that keep coming back. Keywords carry what a screen cannot — recurring contracts, route-based, multi-site. It is versioned, so tightening the thesis after a quarter is a normal edit rather than a restart.

One queue, one decision per row

Matched companies land in Targets to Review with the financials in front of you. Approve or reject. An approval moves a target into outreach; a rejection teaches the mandate. No meeting is needed for anything on this screen to progress.

And the pipeline your operators can read

The Omnifunnel carries everything approved, in the stages the work actually moves through. Give a business-unit leader access and the add-on conversation stops being a slide — they can see which targets are engaged, which are in a process, and which are parked under someone else's LOI.

Questions

What corp dev leads ask first

How much of our time does this take?
One queue, once a day, plus a weekly review. Targets to Review is designed so that a thumbs-up or thumbs-down is the entire recurring decision. Everything downstream of an approval — qualification, outreach and the conversations that follow — is run by our team. We meet with you regularly to move deals and keep the pipeline optimized.
We already get flow from bankers. What does this add?
Banker flow is real but it is a process you are entering late, alongside everyone else on the list. OmniSource adds the two channels a banker relationship does not cover: companies that have not started a process at all, and deals an intermediary has signed but not yet distributed.
Can business-unit leaders see the pipeline?
Yes. The board is shared across your team, so an operator can see the state of a target in their sector without a status call. What they see is the same record your deal lead sees — stage, activity, and whether a deal is parked.
What happens when an owner is interested but not ready?
It is tracked rather than dropped. Most lower middle market deals fail on timing, not fit — the owner was not ready when you called. A target that says not yet stays in the pipeline with a recheck date, which is the difference between a list and a relationship.
Do you contact owners in our name?
No. Outreach is conducted by our team on our own behalf. Your mandate is never disclosed, to an owner or to an intermediary, and your firm is not named in a first approach. You enter the conversation when the deal is live enough to want you in it.

Posture

What we do, and what we do not

  • Deals are anonymized teasers until an NDA is executed. Company and intermediary identities stay masked before that point.
  • Your mandate is never disclosed. Nobody outside your team and ours sees what you are looking for, and no other client sees it at all.
  • BizNexus does not represent sellers, negotiate, structure transactions, or hold funds, and does not appear on engagement letters, NDAs, LOIs or closing documents.
  • What we do is identify opportunities, assess them against your mandate, qualify them and run the outreach — and hand you the deal with the insight already assembled.

Who this is not for

Three readers we send elsewhere

  • Unfunded searchers. An origination team is the wrong spend before capital is committed.
  • Owners looking to sell. You want an intermediary, not a buy-side pipeline. Start on biznexus.com.
  • Advisors and intermediaries. You are the other side of this. The BizNexus Marketplace is where your deals meet mandate-matched buyers. See the Marketplace.

Mandate consultation

Bring the add-on thesis.

Twenty minutes. Bring the sector, the geography and the size band you are trying to add, and we will walk it against live coverage across all three stages.
